LEO Pharma announced Phase 2 results of tralokinumab in children with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (Ref)
LEO Pharma announced positive results from the Phase 2, TRAPEDS-1 trial evaluated tralokinumab (Anti-IL-13) in children aged 6 to 11 years with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis.
The trial met its primary objective and overall, the pharmacokinetic profile was as expected and consistent with what has previously been observed with tralokinumab.
Tralokinumab was generally well tolerated for up to 172 weeks of treatment, with no new safety signals identified.
Fate Therapeutics received FDA clearance of its IND Application for FT839 in autoimmune (Ref)
Fate Therapeutics announced that the US FDA had cleared its Investigational New Drug (IND) application for FT839 (anti-CD19 and 38) which enabled the initiation of Phase 1/ 2 basket trial in multiple autoimmune disease.
FT839 was designed to eliminate pathogenic B cells, plasma cells, and activated T cells by co-targeting CD19 and CD38, potentially overcoming limitations of CD19-only CAR T-cell therapies.
The Phase 1/2 basket trial would evaluate FT839 across multiple autoimmune indications in combination with standard-of-care therapy and without conditioning chemotherapy, with enrollment expected to begin in the H2 2026.
FT839 was Fate Therapeutics' second autoimmune CAR T-cell program, alongside FT819, expanding its off-the-shelf iPSC-derived CAR T-cell pipeline for autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis.
