Biogen announced the completion of its acquisition of RayThera a biotechnology company focused on discovering and developing small-molecule therapies in immunology.
The acquisition strengthened Biogen’s growing immunology portfolio and added multiple assets with potential to treat immune-mediated conditions across a range of indications.
The lead program entered Phase 1 development in July 2026.

Mediar would conduct research activities leveraging its antibody discovery capabilities and biological insights derived from its fibrosis-focused research platform.
Ono would have an exclusive worldwide option right to select antibody drug candidates created through the partnership for further development, manufacturing and commercialization.
