Sanofi announced its decision not to submit amlitelimab in atopic dermatitis for global regulatory reviews (Ref)
Sanofi announced the discontinuation of clinical development of amlitelimab (OX40-ligand) in moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD).
The decision followed a strategic pipeline review, that concluded the overall efficacy and safety data did not support further development.
Although the Phase 3 ESTUARY/ NCT06407934 long-term extension study demonstrated durable clinical response without relapse and a consistent safety profile, Sanofi determined amlitelimab would not represent a meaningful improvement over the standard of care for patients with AD.
Additional results from the AD development program, including the ESTUARY study, would be presented at an upcoming medical meeting.
