Nektar Therapeutics initiated the Phase 3 ZENITH AD Program evaluating rezpegaldesleukin in moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (Ref)
Nektar Therapeutics announced the initiation of the two global registrational Phase 3, ZENITH AD-1 and ZENITH AD-2 trials evaluating rezpegaldesleukin (IL-2 receptor agonist) in patients who were ≥12 years with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD).
The ZENITH AD program includes three global Phase 3 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials:
ZENITH AD-1 and ZENITH AD-2 were designed to enroll biologic and systemic JAK inhibitor treatment-naive patients.
ZENITH AD-3 was designed to enroll patients with prior systemic biologic and/or JAK inhibitor treatment experience.
The program was based on clinically meaningful efficacy and favorable safety data observed in Phase 2b study with Q4W and Q12W maintenance dosing, including an up to 5-fold increase in EASI-100 between 16 and 52 weeks.
Initial Phase 3 topline data were expected in mid-2028 with BLA submission targeted for 2029.
